Combining boarding school and school in a meaningful way

When life and learning can be symbiotically combined, the result is an enriching experience that will shape the young person's entire career. We are aware of this at our boarding school. That is why our boarding school forms a pedagogically and substantively meaningful unit with the grammar school and secondary school. This is why the boarding school and the grammar school, together with the secondary school, have a common educational structure in addition to their international orientation. We pay attention to the continuous exchange between teachers and educators regarding our pupils in order to support their development inside and outside of school in the best possible way.

The boarding school is located in the picturesque rooms of the former Cistercian monastery in Neuzelle. History and modernity find a direct connection here. In summer 2021, boarding school two in the Kutschstall building was redesigned in colour together with interior designer Ms Wisk - the boarding school residents can look forward to a modern and renewed living atmosphere. In summer 2022 / 2023, the boarding rooms in Boarding School One on Priorsberg were also modernised.

Always in contact with the young people

At the boarding school, we have introduced a so-called contact educator system. This means that our educators are each responsible for a small group of "boarders", for whom they are both contact person and confidant. They advise the young people on all school-related issues and are also available to listen to private matters on request. For parents, they are the ideal point of contact for reporting on the development of their child at boarding school.

Free time can also be educational

Learning for life can be so enjoyable - if you organise the content correctly and offer it in an attractive way. That's why we at the boarding school in Neuzelle make sure that we can offer young people a wide and attractive range of projects, initiatives and events. Depending on the interests and inclinations of the boarders, visits to exhibitions and theatre performances as well as taster lectures at the university are part of the permanent repertoire. Those who like to be active themselves can take singing or instrumental lessons at our music school on campus, take part in workshops on arts and crafts or cookery, or let off steam in sports competitions. Of course, billiards and bowling evenings or a visit to the cinema are also on the programme.

Ideal: Our school-owned minibuses for boarding school residents help with leisure activities in the region and can take the young people from A to B and back again in the afternoons and evenings.

International boarding school

The Rahn Education Campus is international - both in the teaching at the schools and in the composition of the young people at our boarding school. They come from different cultures and nations, so tolerance and openness towards people from other backgrounds are a natural part of the young people's lives. By the way: If you come from another country and would like to enrol your son or daughter at the boarding school at Stift Neuzelle, we will be happy to assist you with some of the bureaucratic procedures such as residence permits, registration with the residents' registration office and other administrative procedures.

Sharing everyday life together

Boarding school life is not always just about activities, leisure and education. It also means one thing: everyday life. And that's a good thing. Because when the young people take on responsibility in their everyday lives, they are already being prepared for their future independent lives. They often carry out such preparations together and at the same time learn social skills and independence.
