Our music education and training focuses on fostering the cognitive, musical, social and emotional development of our pupils, based on the concept of audiation according to Edwin Gordon. Through audiation, primary school children learn to hear and understand music in their minds before playing it on their instrument. This method helps them to comprehend musical structures, interpret melodies, and recognise rhythmic patterns, while also enhancing musical memory.
In music lessons, pupils are encouraged to showcase their musical progress. These lively events are special moments that foster a communal atmosphere, allowing pupils, parents, and teachers to actively participate and share in the joy of music.
