Children have a natural creative ability
We follow this realisation through our music and arts-based educational concept. Music and art engage children holistically, intensively stimulate the integration of both hemispheres of the brain and foster cognitive, motor and social skills. Most importantly, they create positive emotional learning experiences.
Multilingualism and intercultural competence are among the essentials and key qualifications of our time. Through our English programmes, we aim to promote the authentic use of the foreign language thus encouraging a natural and intuitive approach to the English language at our Primary School.
Our primary school
- follows the state curriculum
- has a bilingual, musical-artistic educational concept
- offers a comprehensive aesthetic curriculum in the areas of music, movement and language
- offers English lessons starting from school year 1 (Class 1)
- has its own music department and offers instrumental lessons on the school premises in the afternoon
- cooperates with the Singschule Halle and maintains an educational partnership with the Händelhaus Foundation
Primary school and after-school care go hand in hand
The close cooperation between our primary school and the after-school care centre is characterised by strong collaboration. We view the after-school care centre’s most important role as providing meaningful, pedagogically informed leisure time activities as well as integrating with the school's learning processes. We encourage children's curiosity and ability to self-motivation in the afternoons and during the school's vacations/holidays.
Our after-school care centre offers
- pedagogical care in the early day care centre from 6:00 a.m. and in the late day care centre until 6:00 p.m.
- close cooperation between educators and teachers
- individualised afternoon activities including sports, games and creative activities
- a wide range of holiday activities in our after-school care centre
Learning in a rhythm of tension and relaxation
Lessons usually take place from 8:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. and are structured by the conceptual supplementary subjects and a lunch break which includes both meals and opportunities for play. In the afternoon, children can engage in free play before participating in various leisure activities. Homework can be completed in a supervised, quiet environment after school.
