Interculturality with languages

At our secondary school in Neuzelle Abbey, pupils can choose from a wide range of foreign languages, including English, Spanish, Polish, Russian, French and Latin. Our native speakers introduce the young people to the language in a targeted manner with theory and practice and also support their development with a wide range of specialisation and support lessons. We also broaden their horizons with stays abroad at schools in countries such as Poland, Egypt, Oman, South Africa, Russia and Hungary.

We offer the following qualifications:

EBR - Extended vocational school leaving certificate
FOR - Advanced technical college entrance qualification
FORQ - Fachoberschulreife with qualification

Modern teaching in a historic location

The magnificent buildings of the former Cistercian monastery in Neuzelle are home to an grammar school with an international focus, the secondary school, the Music and Art School (Musik- und Kusntschule Clara Schumann Brandenburg (Standort Neuzelle), the language school and modern boarding schools for pupils from all over the world.

The campus is a central pillar of the European project ‘German-Polish Education Bridge’, a cooperation between the primary school and lyceum in Zielona Góra/Poland with the Campus at Stift Neuzelle and the Campus am Spreebogen of Rahn Education in Fürstenwalde. Getting to know your neighbours, understanding the language, fostering cultural exchange - these are the goals of the German-Polish Education Bridge. Space for intercultural encounters is created here and cross-border cooperation between the schools is expanded.
